“C” New Skin With This Amazing Find
Since writing my last beauty post a year ago, I haven’t really tried anything new that’s made me feel compelled to write it about – until now. I’m still using my “best of” products from 2018 because they work. However, I’ve been on a mission this year to repair sun damage on my face and I’ve had a few treatments at my aesthetician’s office that have really made a difference. However, I see her only once a month and wanted something to help speed up the process and maintain the results in between visits.
I do my research when it comes to stuff like this because usually these products are a bit pricey and I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck. After reading up on various Vitamin C products, specifically peels, I visited several stores to sample a few, because texture and fragrance are also a deciding factor for me. Ultimately, I ended up at the Erno Lazlo counter at Belk. I used to manage this counter about 15 years ago and I have to say out of the skin care lines I’ve worked for, Erno Lazlo is one of my all-time favorites. Here’s a link to the back story of Dr. Erno Lazlo if you’re not familiar with him.

I had read stellar reviews about their White Marble Dual-Phase Vitamin C Peel and couldn’t wait to get this stuff home – and I was not disappointed! All I can say is this is worth every penny I paid and I saw results after the first use. I’ve been using the product 2-3 times per week for three weeks now and seen marked improvement in the clarity, brightness, texture and the appearance of melasma. Not only does this product work, but it’s quick and easy to use. Five minutes is all it takes with this stuff! I’m not one to stick with things that are too ritualistic or time consuming so this was another huge selling point for me.
The key ingredients in this product are Vitamin C, Carrot Seed Oil and Lactic Acid. Vitamin C reduces the appearance of dark spots and dullness and lightens skin. Carrot Seed Oil balances dry skin and helps to diminish the appearance of age spots and sun damage. The Lactic Acid is a gentle exfoliant that preps your skin to absorb the brightening and hydrating nutrients.
You begin with the peel (Step 1), an exfoliating scrub, by massaging gently on your face for up to 3 minutes (I use this product on my decolletage, as well).
Next, mix the activator (Step 2) in your hands and massage over the peel, on your face and/or decolletage, and leave on for 1 minute.

After one minute, just rinse and pat dry. You will not believe how soft and luminous your skin looks after just one use – promise! Now, apply your favorite moisturizer, and sunscreen (SPF 30 minimum) if you plan to be outside, as your skin will be a bit sun sensitive. Besides, you want to protect your face from additional sun damage, right?
Visit ernolazlo.com for more info or to purchase. As of today (11/30/19) it’s on sale for just $70 (regular price $100). Happy Holidays!
