Surviving Quarantine – Part 3

Here’s two more products that have been super helpful during these stressful times- lemon balm & magnesium.

I started taking the lemon balm in January at the advice of my doctor to help manage job related stress. I have to say I was very skeptical and I regret not heeding her advice sooner (she suggested this back in 2019, as well). This stuff is like liquid Valium – except it’s all natural and much safer! Mix 20-30 drops in water and you’re good for several hours. This has kept me from cussing several people out over the last few months and for that, I’m most thankful 🙏

Magnesium works wonders for controlling anxiety, depression, migraines, and helps with sleep. This mineral is very important, playing a role in over 300 enzyme reactions in the human body, including muscle & nerve function, regulating blood pressure, and supporting the immune system. Yet as important as this mineral is many of us do not get enough in our diet.

Other good sources of magnesium are spinach, dark chocolate 😋, black beans, quinoa, almonds, avocado & salmon.

It’s very important that we take good care of ourselves all the time but so very important right now when many of us are dealing with elevated stress levels, anxiety, and depression. Keep your head up and know that better days are ahead 😊
